My favorite RPG ever...next to Phantasy Star 1. I liked Oblivion a lot, but it lacked the depth I that Morrowind had. Great game.
If this game is even remotely as groundbreaking as Shenmue, then I may have to give a try. I really don't even like QTE games, but Shenmue was just so great in it's day. I just hope it feels like a game and not a movie.
Lost Odyssey has been the best JRPG I've played since Final Fantasy 6. Whatever Mistwalker makes will be amazing.
You are saying this to a site full of PS3 fanboys, that is why you are getting the disagrees. The PS3 version had loads of issues, but whoever played the 360 version I'm sure would agree with you...Borderlands was fantastic.
Maybe its just the old school gamer in me, but I thought the 90's where a better gaming decade overall. The leap from Halo 1 to Uncharted 2 was big, but the leap from Super Mario 3 (1990) to Halo 1 was far bigger. That said however, this decade was still pretty freakin' great.

Maybe it's the 8/16 bit loving kid in me, but I love Sega, and have a hard time not rootin' for them. Not quite sure how this article missed Phantasy Star though.
He'll just be one more of many douchbags I usually play with.
Most (NOT all) multiplats have been better on the 360, but a 8.2 is still a very respectable score and hardly "shoddy" Go and enjoy whatever version you can get. It's no big secret that the PS3 can have nicer looking games, but it's also harder and more expensive to develop for, and SEGA doesn't have much disposable income. Besides I'm still giving SEGA mad props for Valkyria Chronicles.
Most commentors on this site don't know about any technology before the PS2, some even the PS3. Anything that Sony backs is gold to them. I've been a early adopter of many technologies, and I've been screwed many time because of it, so I agree, the price will need to drop quickly considering this is an unnecessary purchase in this rough economy.
I doubt I'll play them much but they are pretty, and free, so I'll keep them on my Zune for when I'm desperate for gaming. I'm also surprised how well they handle too.
Most store displays don't have the most recent firmware downloaded, and that makes a HUGE difference. For what my meager opinion is worth (not much on this site with so many fanboys) I paid $290 for the 32 gig Zune HD, and I would have paid a lot more if I had to. It is slick, fast, clear and easy to use. Hands down the best mp3/video player I've come across. But then again, to each their own. When it comes to giving an opinion, you just can't argue right or wrong...it's personal prefere...
That may be an issue for me...same with Demons Souls. Risen is right around the corner too. A lot of action RPG's on the way.
I hope for Shenmue...but I could see a new Shining Force, maybe using VC's Canvas Engine.
Demonoid is about the best there is...unless you're looking for porn. I've enjoyed it for a LONG time now, and eveything is typically pretty clean. They occasionally hand out memberships so you don't need a refferal, so just keep an eye on the site...but snag it quick.
FF6 is my RPG of choice too, but only us really old school gamers will probably agree. So many of the people who say FF7 is best, started their gaming experiences on the PS1. If they had been born five years earlier, and been a part of the SNES days, they would love FF6 better too I believe. Although, if we are talking favorites here, I still may have to keep Phantasy Star 1 (master system) on top. What can I say, I'm REALLY old school.
I played and beat FF10, and think it probably is a hair better then FF7. However, the encounter rate was atrocious on 10, and completely ruined the game for me. You couldn't take 3 steps without fighting. It may have taken 80 hours to beat, but 65 of it was fighting. Thats why FF6 is still king in my book.
Which of its many reincarnations, The Sega CD version still stands out as my personal favorite.
